We were saddened today to learn of the death of our friend and colleague, Professor James Driscoll.
Professor Driscoll had presented at ALEP lectures and conferences on many occasions over the years and was well-known for his indisputable knowledge and expertise on the subject of leasehold. He has also spoken and written widely about Commonhold and, as a passionate advocate, was always up for a lively debate no more so than at our lecture on the subject in 2018.
Anna Bailey is ALEP’s founder and Director.
“Highly knowledgeable, a leading figure in our sector and a true gentleman, James will be missed by all of us at ALEP. His experience was second-to-none, as was his influence on those of us who work on enfranchisement. James was a great supporter of ALEP, attending our events and speaking for us with such expertise and with his trademark dry humour. Our thoughts are with James’ family at this time.”
