The Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners' Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday 1 December 2020 at 5pm by Zoom.
The Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) is run by its Directors, an Advisory Committee (AC) and an Executive Committee (EC). Further information about the management of ALEP can be found here.
The members of the AC are elected at the AGM and generally serve in office for a term of two years from the date of their election, after which time they must resign and seek re-election.
At the AGM on 1 December 2020, two members of the AC will stand down (although they are invited to nominate themselves for re-election): Colin Cohen, (Managing Agent Committee Member) and Mark Loveday (Barrister Committee Member).
The appointment/re-appointment of two individuals to the Committee shall be in accordance with the ALEP Election Procedure, details of which are available here.
We therefore invite nominations for candidates for election to fill the AC vacancies of:
- One Managing Agent Committee Member;
- One Barrister Committee Member.
Nominations can be submitted by email to email@example.com or by letter using the form attached.
The name of the nominee and position should be stated along with the name and membership organisation of the supporter. The attached form can be duplicated to propose candidates for more than one vacancy. This nomination form should be completed and signed by the candidate, and supported by two representatives of different member organisations
The deadline for nominations is Friday 20 November 2020.
A full list of candidates for election, with details and ballot papers, will be sent to nominated lead contacts entitled to vote on or before Friday 27 November 2020.
The results of the ballot will be published on the ALEP website.
