ALEP hosted its ever-popular Golf Day this week, providing a welcome opportunity for some much-needed respite and networking. We were thrilled to be joined by more than 30 members who took to the course with gusto (and varying degrees of skill!)

We were treated to some fantastic weather as our golfers teed off on the award-winning 27-hole course at Westerham Golf Club in Kent.

Our novice group benefited from some private tuition with the Club’s resident pro before tackling the Academy Course. Meanwhile, our own ‘pros’ worked their way through the undulating course under the warm May sunshine, hitting plenty of trees, waterways and rough, as well as the occasional fairway.

Congratulations to all those who took part, and well done to the day’s winners who thoroughly deserve their hard-won bragging rights and moment in the spotlight.

The winners were as follows:

Best Novice Cup – Sponsored by Morr & Co

  • David Burns – Ronald Fletcher Baker

Nearest the Pin – Sponsored by Fifield Glyn

  • David Sweeting – Sweetings

Longest Drive – Sponsored by Fifield Glyn

  • Jack Bassett – Ronald Fletcher Baker

 Kerry London Cup

  • 3rd place  – Rod Welfare –  Fifield Glyn
  • 2nd Place – John Turner – Morr & CO
  • Winner – Lawrence Weill – Robsons

As always, the ALEP Golf Day proved to be a fantastic event of fun and networking, and we were delighted to be joined by some new faces alongside our loyal ALEP golfers. A huge thank you to all our sponsors, including our lead sponsor Kerry London, and to all those who joined us to play!
