Barristers from Tanfield Chambers are the first to join ALEP

ALEP is delighted to welcome four barristers from Tanfield Chambers as its first barrister members: Philip Rainey QC, Ellodie Gibbons, Mark Loveday and Christopher Heather, all experts in their knowledge of leasehold enfranchisement law.
The barristers are all part of The Tanfield Property Group, headed by Philip Rainey QC, which has won plaudits for its ‘great service and good rapport with both solicitors and clients’ by Chambers UK 2011. Commentators say that ‘particularly in these days when it’s essential that barristers and solicitors work as a team, Tanfield comes up trumps’.
The Group offers specialist Counsel who are known for their accessible and unfussy approach, a clerking team which is efficient, friendly and which understands client care, and a commitment to transparency on fees.
Members of the Group have experience in all areas of property law and several members both lecture and publish within their own areas of expertise.’
Formed in 2007, the Association of Leasehold Enfranchisement Practitioners (ALEP) is a not-for-profit association that brings together barristers, managing agents, project managers, solicitors and valuers working in the residential leasehold sector.
