ALEP adds two new ways of searching for enfranchisement practitioners

The ALEP web site sees the introduction of two new features to make it easier for flat owners and leaseholders to find their local specialist surveyor, solicitor, intermediary or managing agent.

A new feature based on Google Maps allows leaseholders to locate their area on a visual map and see ‘flags’ showing the names and locations of their local ALEP practitioners. There is no longer a need to enter their postcode and select from a list of members.

The second feature is a Quick Query. The innovation responds to users who were concerned that the main search required the entry of several different criteria and then for the user to submit queries to each individual practitioner. Now, web site visitors can simply enter their basic contact details and a short description of their query. This will then be sent to the 3 nearest ALEP members and it is down to members to then contact the flat owner.
